Out-Of-The-Box Integration Tools

Oracle Cloud Applications are equipped with several basic integration tools for customers to create their own integrations. Some of these tools are designed for manual integration and are tailored for non-technical users within the business lines.

File Based Data Import (FBDI):

Oracle offers a collection of organized spreadsheets for data population, which can be saved as .csv files. These files undergo a standard uploading process to the server, followed by additional processes to transfer the data to interface tables and import it into different applications. Typically, these tools serve functional purposes such as importing and calculating daily rates, and AutoInvoice imports.

ADF Desktop Integration (ADFdi):

ADF Desktop Integration is a component of the ADF framework, facilitating desktop integration with MS Excel spreadsheets for handling large-volume data uploads into Cloud Applications. These tools are primarily designed for technical developers. Additionally, pre-packaged tools offer enhanced flexibility for technical developers to create custom integrations or to integrate third-party applications.

BI Reporting/Analytics Data:

Facilitates the extraction and transfer of data from the Cloud. It comprises four main reporting tools catering to diverse balance and transaction level reporting needs:

Web Services

This enables the use of SOAP/REST/XML protocols. The catalogue of web services allows publishing, discovery of, subscribing to, managing, running and securing APIs. Additionally, web service APIs enable developers to create unique custom integrations which are customer focused. However, these can be labour intensive, in terms of the initial development effort required. These tools for data extraction and web services enable technical consultants to provide tailormade integration solutions specific to business needs.

Data Centric Oracle Integration Tools:
